Gary Stewart is still in the lead with 5 repetitions at 470 lbs. But, we may have spoke to soon about Gary Stewart setting the bar because Wayne, Patrick and Gary Ovitt, a new competitor, are not far behind.
As of yesterday, Wayne leg pressed 450lbs. for 10 reps, no hands on the knees and then increased the weight to 470lbs. and was able to complete 6 reps.
A quick correction on Patrick, is that Patrick is 64 years of age. Patrick is due next week for new results on the leg press and we will update everyone as soon as we know the new results.
Our newest competitor, as of last week, Gary Ovitt was able to leg press 370lbs. for 10 repetitions and as of today (3/7) Gary leg pressed 410lbs. for 7 reps. Gary is in the hunt to move up in the standings for this leg press competition.
Until next week……

A LITTLE COMPETITION CAN ALWAYS MAKE THINGS MORE FUN!!!
Not that Lance would ever entice or persuade a client into a competition…but Patrick and Wayne, both clients at Fitness Results, would train concurrently and question one another about how much one another could leg press. This soon led to a friendly competition….
And the competition began….both Patrick and Wayne maxed out the old leg press. Now on the new leg press, Wayne leg pressed 410 lbs a few weeks ago and the results were relayed to Patrick. Patrick was then able to leg press 415 lbs. To date, Wayne has leg pressed 430 lbs….and the competition continues. We will keep everyone posted on our latest results and Patrick’s latest leg press!!!!

Is your New Year’s Resolution to lose weight?
A New Year’s resolution is an opportunity to make a change and commitment to yourself in the new year.
For many people, losing weight is one of the most common New Year’s resolutions.
It is more common, for most people to begin their New Year’s resolution at the beginning of the year and as time passes it is slowly begins to taper off and the New Year’s resolution is no longer a priority for most.
By setting your New Year’s resolution as a long term goal, with several short terms goals on the way, your goal of losing weight will be more attainable. Make your New Year’s resolution reasonable and understand that losing weight is not something that can be accomplished over night. It takes commitment to yourself, eating right and working out continuously.
Fitness results recommends working out with a personal trainer 2-3 times a week, lifting weights and consulting with a personal trainer about your goals. Lifting weights will build one’s muscle mass, increase one’s metabolism and contribute to weight loss.
If your New Year’s resolution is to get back in shape and lose weight, then contact Fitness Results and discuss your goals with a personal trainer so they can get you started with what can be a change in your life not just for the new year but they entire year long.
